Robotics and Artificial Intelligence Engineering Student Presented the Paper at the IEEE Engineering in Medicine and Biology Society (EMBS). Mr. Thanakorn Sappakit, Robotics and Artificial Intelligence Engineering student, has presented his paper entitled “Oocyte Microscopic Image Fertilization Prediction based on First Polar Body Morphology using YOLOv8” at the 46th Annual International Conference of the IEEE Engineering in Medicine and Biology Society (EMBC 2024), in Orlando, Florida, USA, during July 15 – 19, 2024. EMBC is the annual flagship conference of the IEEE Engineering in Medicine and Biology Society (EMBS). This work is co-authored by Mr. Krittapat Onthuam (graduate student from Université de Toulon, France & ISE alumni), Mr. Tinapat Limsila (Robotics-AI), Assoc. Prof. Ronnapee Chaichaowarat, Ph.D. (ISE), and Asst. Prof. Chanakarn Suebthawinkul, M.D., M.Sc. (Division of Reproductive Medicine, Department of Obstetrics and Gynecology, Faculty of Medicine, Chulalongkorn University).

Congratulations to Palida Yingwatchara, Pavarit Wiriyakunakorn and Thiti Srikao, Information and Communication Engineering students working under the supervision of Dr. Sirin Nitinawarat (ISE). Their research paper entitled “User-Centric Web Application for Phishing URL Detection by Machine Learning Model” was presented at the 23rd International Symposium on Communications and Information Technologies (ISCIT 2024) in Bangkok, Thailand between 23 – 25 September 2024, and their paper also received the Best Paper Award!

Congratulations to Dr. Aung Pyae from the International School of Engineering and his research collaborators from the Department of Environmental and Sustainable Engineering for receiving the Top Paper Award at the 3rd NIC-NIDA Conference 2024! On 22 August 2024, Dr. Aung Pyae, a lecturer in the ICE programs at the International School of Engineering, was honored with the Top Paper Award for the presentation titled "Design and Development of a User-Centric Mobile Application to Promote Sustainable Hydration and Reduce Single-Use Plastic Water Bottle Consumption: A Case Study of Chulalongkorn University." at the 3rd NIC-NIDA Conference 2024. This research was conducted in collaboration with the Department of Environmental and Sustainable Engineering, Faculty of Engineering, Chulalongkorn University.
