• Application Qualifications
    • Applicants do not hold Thai citizenship and have completed high school or passed an equivalent high school standard test or be currently in their final year of high school (Grade 12 in the US system or Year 13 in the British system).

    The application submission is divided into 2 options. The applicants must choose to apply only one option either option 1 Test score or option 2, Portfolio. 
    • 1.1 Applicants must have completed high school, passed an equivalent high school standard test, or be currently in their final year of high school (Grade 12 in the US system or year 13 in the British system).

    The official score report of the tests in 1.2 and 1.3 is valid only when the tests were taken not more than two years of the application deadline.
  • Equivalency of Foreign Educational Qualifications
    Before applying the undergraduate admission, students with GED, IGCSEs, studied abroad or having other international qualifications should contact Chulalongkorn University Academic Testing Center (https://hsces.atc.chula.ac.th) for Degree Equivalence Certificate.
    Request for actual Equivalence Certificate - For applicants with a foreign High School Diploma
    Request for Provisional Equivalence Certificate - For applicants currently attending foreign high school and appropriately qualified for equivalence application
    Request for GPA Equivalency – In case applicant’s high school does not use 4.0 grading system, applicants are required to convert a grade report to the 4.0 grading system with Chulalongkorn University Academic Testing Center.

  • Scholarship offered
    Full scholarships and tuition scholarships are available. The assessment of the scholarship applicants will be ranked based on the admission requirements and the offer made to the applicants who best meet the selection criteria by the scholarship committee.

  • Terms of Enrollment
    • An individual must have completed grade 12 or equivalent to be qualified to register as a student of Chulalongkorn University. Should it emerge that applicants with right to study have found to have provided false information in the application or false evidence in support of the application, their right to study will be rescinded. The ISE program reserves the right not to refund the application fee and the admission confirmation fee to applicants.
    • Individuals who have completed their education at an international school or a foreign school that was not certified by the Ministry of Education must have their qualification certified by the Council of University Presidents of Thailand as being equal to a qualification according to the Ministry of Education’s Basic Education Core Curriculum.
    •  Should it emerge that applicants with right to study have found to have provided false information in the application or false evidence in support of the application, their right to study will be rescinded. The applicant may also face criminal charges.
  • Student Visa
    Once the admitted applicants confirm acceptance to the program, ISE International Affairs Department will issue the letter to obtain educational visa.
     
  • FAQs
    Q: For the academic year 2023, the Early admission round is from 21 December 2022 - 6 February 2023.
    A: You can choose to apply by either Test score or Portfolio options. You cannot submit applications for both options. Or, both applications will be withdrawn.

    Q: Should I submit my SAT test score via the College Board right after the test?
    A: Yes, you should. There is no need to wait for the admission application period. You are recommended to submit the score right away as it normally takes about 10 days before ISE receives the score from the College Board.

    Q: Can I apply to ISE using my GED score?
    A: Yes, you can. However, you will need to submit both GPA and Highschool equivalency certificates for your GED score. They must be obtained from Chulalongkorn University Academic Test Center (CU-ATC)*.

    Q: Can I apply to ISE if I joined an exchange program and did not complete some courses at my school?
    A: Yes, you can. If the grades of those courses have been included in your school transcript (in 4.0 scale), you can apply using that transcript. However, if the grades have not been included in your school transcript, you will need to submit a gpa equivalency certificate for your grade. It must be obtained from Chulalongkorn University Academic Test Center (CU-ATC)*.

    Q: Does my portfolio for ISE early admission have to be a bound book?
    A: No, it does not. ISE accepts E-portfolio submitted at the ISE admission website during the application period.

    Q: Does my portfolio have to be in English?
    A: Yes, your E-portfolio has to be in English. However, awards or certificates can be in English or Thai. English translation is required if it is in other languages.

    Q: Can I authorize my documents using my electronic signature?
    A: Yes, you can.

    Q: If I have a required score in each criterion, i.e., English, math, and science proficiencies, do I need to submit a test-request form to CU-ATC (refer to no.4.2.7 in the ISE admission announcement*)?
    A: No, you do not need to submit the test-request form.

    Q: If I have several test scores for each criterion, for example, I have both SAT and CU-ATS scores for science proficiency, Can I submit all of them?
    A: Yes, you can. However, the submitted scores must be from the tests taken after 22 December 2020.
