Canada-ASEAN Scholarships and Educational Exchanges for Development (SEED) – for students Academic Year 2022-2023 Global Affairs Canada is offering short-term scholarships to students from member states of the Association of Southeast Asian Nations (ASEAN) for study or research opportunities at Canadian post-secondary academic institutions. The Canada-ASEAN Scholarships and Educational Exchanges for Development (SEED), announced by the Government of Canada in August 2017, will provide approximately 125 scholarships in 2022-2023 for study or research in fields that are aligned with the 2030 Agenda for Sustainable Development. Canadian post-secondary academic institutions can submit scholarship applications on behalf of students from eligible countries from now until March 3, 2022. Only applications submitted directly by Canadian post-secondary academic institutions will be considered. Interested candidates are invited to contact their home institution’s international office to learn about partnerships and collaborations with Canadian institutions. Home institutions in ASEAN member states will then provide the eligible candidates’ documentation to the Canadian institutions. ISE COMMUNITY SERVICE AND CULTURAL TRIP OF AY 2019/2
ISE and International Affairs of Engineering Student Committee organized the “ISE Community Service and Cultural trip” in Rayong Province as part of exchange program for inbound exchange students of Academic Year 2019/2. The participating exchange students came from several countries including France, Indonesia, Japan and U.S.A. On February 15, 2020, we began the trip with the community service activity. Both exchange students and Thai students learned the construction of crab condos to create biodiversity of mangrove forest ecosystems and released mangrove crabs into their natural habitat at Rayong River at Mangrove Forest Conservation Group. In the evening, there were ice breaking games and cultural exchange activities. On February 16, 2020, we visited Old Town Rayong, Yom Jinda Road where exchange students learned Thai lifestyle, culture, and enjoyed peaceful environment. The First Internal UNITED Workshop
The First Internal UNITED Workshop “Introduction to Vehicle System Development and Electrification” on January 31, 2020 at Faculty of Engineering, Chulalongkorn University The First Internal Workshop of the UNITED Erasmus+ Program titled “Introduction to Vehicle System Development and Electrification” was conducted at International School of Engineering (ISE), Faculty of Engineering, Chulalongkorn University on January 31, 2020. Enthusiastic senior engineering students from ADME Program of ISE and Automotive Engineering Program of Mechanical Engineering Department, professors from faculty of engineering and delegates from Thai Automotive societies were among the participants. Dr. Witaya Wannasuphoprasit gave a warm welcome speech to the participants, then Dr. Angkee Sripakagorn, Dr. Nuksit Noomwongs and Dr. Prabhath De Silva shared their experience in automotive engineering in the workshop. The UNITED Erasmus+ project goals are to enhance student employability and to foster university-industry collaboration in Thailand, Indonesia and Malaysia. UNITED Erasmus+ Project Training Program on Vehicle Dynamics, Body Engineering and Crashworthiness
The third training program of the UNITED Erasmus+ project on vehicle dynamics, body engineering and Crashworthiness was held at Universitas Sumatera Utara (USU), Melaka, Malaysia on December 9-12, 2019. The project goals are to enhance student employability and to foster university-industry collaboration in Thailand, Indonesia and Malaysia. Chulalongkorn University was represented by Dr. Prabhath De Silva from International School of Engineering and Dr. Nuksit Noomwongs from Mechanical Engineering Department.
