Professors from Institute of Science Tokyo Visit to Foster Research and Graduate Program Collaboration On June 20, 2025, the Nano-Engineering Program had the honor of welcoming Professor Masato Sone, Assistant Professor Tomoyuki Kurioka, and their Ph.D. students from the Materials & Structures Laboratory, Institute of Integrated Research, Institute of Science, Tokyo. The delegation was warmly received by Associate Professor Charusruk Viphavakit, Dr. Porpin Pungetmongkol, Dr. Ngaw Chee Keong, and Dr. Soracha Dechaumphai. During their visit, the guests toured the Nano-Engineering laboratories and engaged in in-depth discussions with faculty members and researchers. The conversations focused on collaborative opportunities in advanced materials research and the potential development of joint graduate programs. These discussions aim to strengthen international academic exchange and promote innovation in nanotechnology. This visit marks a significant milestone in building academic and research partnerships between the two institutions, paving the way for impactful, long-term collaboration in the field of nanoengineering.

Nano-Engineering Capstone 2025 [9 May 2025] - It’s a wrap!! The Nano-Engineering Capstone 2025, under this year's topic of Nano-Enhanced Food Packaging Solutions, has officially end! This year, the fourth-year Nano-Engineering students have showcased their creativity, teamwork and problem-solving abilities in tackling the challenge. Among all 9 teams! Congratulations to the Aerospace Engineering students from Chulalongkorn University! On April 25th, our talented students proudly presented their innovative projects at the AerCap ESG Challenge 2025. We were honored to have Mr. Joe Millar, Head of Technical (APAC) at AerCap — the world's largest aircraft leasing company — join us as an honorary judge. A special congratulations to Team HKT, the winning team! Their project, the "Sustainable Aviation Initiative for AerCap," proposed bold solutions to reduce carbon emissions through fuel-efficient aircraft, integrate bio-based and recyclable materials, and establish a comprehensive recycling program for retired aircraft — offering new revenue opportunities and advancing AerCap’s leadership in sustainable aviation. AerCap Scholarship Program is now open for applications!
AerCap Scholarship Program AerCap is the industry leader across all areas of aviation leasing − aircraft, engines and helicopters. AerCap has a highly attractive portfolio, a diversified customer base and an order book of the most in-demand new technology assets in the world. AerCap is committed to supporting the next generation of industry professionals through educational programs such as the Aerospace Engineering program at Chulalongkorn. These programs provide a pipeline of diverse talent that will support the future growth and development of the aviation industry. AerCap will award scholarships to 10 Aerospace Engineering students, commencing in academic year 2024. Three scholarships to first−year students of academic year 2024, covering four academic years. Three scholarships to second−year students of academic year 2024, covering three academic years. Four scholarships to third−year students of academic year 2024, covering two academic years. The scholarship includes coverage of Chulalongkorn University tuition fees and program fees for regular semesters, and Industrial Training fees. Selected Third-year scholarship recipients will have the opportunity to participate in an internship program with AerCap. Additionally, Fourth-year scholarship recipients may engage in a research project in collaboration with AerCap, focusing on a research topic approved by AerCap.
