Workshop on Preparing International School of Engineering Programs towards ABET accreditation On Monday July 12, 2021, 08:30 A.M.-2.00 P.M. ISE with support from Office of Higher Education Commission organized a workshop on preparing ISE programs towards ABET accreditation. The speaker is Professor Dr. Methi Wecharatana, a professor and associate chair for graduate studies of New Jersey Institute of Technology. Moreover, he is an adviser to the board of directors of the Association of Thai Professionals in America and Canada (ATPAC). He is one of the alumni of Faculty of Engineering, Chulalongkorn University, majored in Civil Engineering. Assistant Professor Dr. Phavanee Narataruksa helped coordination of the workshop. The objective of this workshop is to introduce the ABET accreditation criteria and to guide the international programs towards ABET accreditation. Associate Professor Dr. Tawatchai Charinpanitkul, Associate Dean of Academic Affairs, made a welcome address and opened the workshop. Topics of workshop include the following: ABET Accreditation: Overview Understanding What, Why and How Key Features of ABET system ABET Criteria What to DO to Prepare for ABET There were 35 participants including the ISE management, the ISE faculty staff, the curriculum management committee from the AERO, ADME, ICE, NANO, and Robotics & AI programs, the curriculum revision committee, and the ISE supporting staff. After the presentation, there was fruitful discussion. Associate Professor Dr. Witaya Wannasuphoprasit, ISE Director, made a concluding remark and thanked the speaker and all the participants.

Dissemination of the UNITED Project at Engineers Talk Program, CU Radio On Sunday, March 14, 2021, Assoc. Prof. Dr. Witaya Wannasuphoprasit, ISE Director together with Asst. Prof. Dr. Nuksit Noomwongs, Secretary of ADME Curriculum Management Committee and Lecturer of Department of Mechanical Engineering were the invited speakers of the “Engineers Talk” Program - CU Radio 101.5 FM to share the objectives and progress of the UNITED project titled “Engineering Knowledge Transfer Units to Increase Student´s Employability and Regional Development” supported by Erasmus+ Programme of the European Union. They also promoted the upcoming First UNITED-SAIG International Conference scheduled on April 21-22, 2021 organized by International School of Engineering, Faculty of Engineering. Roll Out of Chulalongkorn Engineering Knowledge Transfer Unit (EKTU) On March 26, 2021 Chula ISE organized the Roll Out of Chulalongkorn Engineering Knowledge Transfer Unit (EKTU) at Chulapat 14 Building, 9th floor from 1.00-2.30 p.m. The title of EKTU is Enhancing Next Generation Automotive Technology Competency in Thailand Automotive Sector. This EKTU is supported by the UNITED project under Erasmus+ Program. The objectives of EKTU are as follows. Educate the industry technical people with Hybrids/EV technology Include some content from UNITED training in the university curriculum (Modern Propulsion Systems course and special workshop course) to prepare students for better employment Organize academic service workshop for industries by collaborating with strategic partner Use the equipment to illustrate and use in hands-on training On this occasion, Assoc. Prof. Dr. Witaya Wannasuphoprasit, ISE Director, reported the progress of the UNITED project under Erasmus+ Program and the vision and mission of the EKTU. Then, Assoc. Prof. Dr. Tawatchai Charinpanitkul, Associate Dean, Faculty of Engineering gave an opening speech. Participants included the faculty members who are trainers of EKTU, students from Automotive Design and Manufacturing Engineering (ADME) program who are teaching assistants, and the representatives from a private company.
