The Nano-Engineering Capstone 2025, under this year's topic of Nano-Enhanced Food Packaging Solutions, has officially end! This year, the fourth-year Nano-Engineering students have showcased their creativity, teamwork and problem-solving abilities in tackling the challenge. Among all 9 teams! On April 25th, our talented students proudly presented their innovative projects at the AerCap ESG Challenge 2025. We were honored to have Mr. Joe Millar, Head of Technical (APAC) at AerCap — the world's largest aircraft leasing company — join us as an honorary judge. A special congratulations to Team HKT, the winning team! Their project, the "Sustainable Aviation Initiative for AerCap," proposed bold solutions to reduce carbon emissions through fuel-efficient aircraft, integrate bio-based and recyclable materials, and establish a comprehensive recycling program for retired aircraft — offering new revenue opportunities and advancing AerCap’s leadership in sustainable aviation. A heartfelt thank you to AerCap, not only for supporting this event but also for their continuous investment in education.
