As you know, UNLEASH mobilizes young people and partners from around the world to drive action for the SDGs. By engaging with important partners like you, we can further scale this impact. We would like to thank Chulalongkorn University's International School of Engineering for being part of this journey and invite you to be part of UNLEASH 2022’s newest chapter. Over the years UNLEASH has brought together 5,000 talents from 167 countries, facilitated the development of 750 SDG solutions with 350+ partners. Canada-ASEAN Scholarships and Educational Exchanges for Development (SEED) – for students Academic Year 2022-2023 Global Affairs Canada is offering short-term scholarships to students from member states of the Association of Southeast Asian Nations (ASEAN) for study or research opportunities at Canadian post-secondary academic institutions. The Canada-ASEAN Scholarships and Educational Exchanges for Development (SEED), announced by the Government of Canada in August 2017, will provide approximately 125 scholarships in 2022-2023 for study or research in fields that are aligned with the 2030 Agenda for Sustainable Development. Canadian post-secondary academic institutions can submit scholarship applications on behalf of students from eligible countries from now until March 3, 2022. Only applications submitted directly by Canadian post-secondary academic institutions will be considered. Interested candidates are invited to contact their home institution’s international office to learn about partnerships and collaborations with Canadian institutions. Home institutions in ASEAN member states will then provide the eligible candidates’ documentation to the Canadian institutions. This 2-hour online webinar session will be conducted on 21st December 2021 from 8 am to 10 am (Central European Summer Time) or 2 pm to 4 pm (Thailand Time) or 3 pm to 5 pm (Malaysia Kuala Lumpur Time). Applications Open for the APRU Virtual Student Exchange Program Season 2, 2021-22
Although the Covid-19 pandemic situation around the globe may have shown signs of improvement, border closures and travel restrictions are still being implemented in a large number of countries. To provide exchange students with an alternative option, Chulalongkorn University has cooperated with the member universities of the Association of Pacific Rim Universities (APRU) network to offer the “APRU Virtual Student Exchange Program” to undergraduate students of the APRU members from all around the world. The program aims to provide them with the opportunity to learn and engage with peers, academics and experts from other countries through a digital platform. Students can take academic courses and earn credits from other universities without an additional tuition fee, except for the regular fee(s) paid to their home university. The APRU, a network of 60 leading universities in the Americas, Asia and Australasia, brings to its students an exclusive opportunity to connect with peers from the member universities so as to learn new knowledge and skills, exchange ideas and cultures, and develop connections vital for success in the 21st Century. The APRU Virtual Student Exchange (VSE) Program, led by The Chinese University of Hong Kong, makes international education accessible by allowing students to take academic courses and participate in co-curricular programs without the need to leave home. It opens up international education for all students by providing an immersive virtual student exchange experience through digital technologies and platforms and creating encounters with new ideas, cultures, experts, academics and students from around the world. More courses will be added, so be sure to check out the website regularly! For the application process, students are advised to consult with your program/faculty coordinator. Then, complete your application on the APRU VSE website, forward your confirmation email to the coordinator at your Faculty and please notify your program coordinator to fill a nomination form to the Office of International Affairs and Global Network. In addition, be aware and note the deadlines, so don’t wait until the last minute to submit your application! The deadline for Chula students to apply to VSE season 2, 2021-22 is December 10, 2021.
