Special Lecture on Robotics by Prof. Dikai Liu: Exploring Physical Human-Robot Collaboration

On Tuesday, October 14, 2025, Assoc. Prof. Ronnapee Chaichaowarat, Ph.D., hosted a Special Lecture on Robotics, featuring Prof. Dikai Liu, Distinguished Professor and Director of the ARC Research Hub for Human-Robot Teaming for Sustainable and Resilient Construction, School of Mechanical and Mechatronic Engineering, University of Technology Sydney, Australia, as the special guest. The topic was titled “Physical Human-Robot Collaboration: Research Challenges and Applications.”

In his talk, Prof. Liu outlined the major challenges in physical human-robot collaboration (pHRC) research, presenting various human modelling approaches and human models that enable intuitive and effective pHRC. He also shared detailed case studies illustrating the development and real-world deployment of intelligent robots designed for physical collaboration.
