Kumbesan Sandrasegaran, Ph.D., has expertise in the modelling and simulation of telecommunication networks to assess the performance of network management algorithms, including packet scheduling, handovers, interference mitigation, and power control. He also has expertise in the application of Artificial Intelligence for fault diagnosis, network planning, and fall detection.

    (Thesis title “A methodology for generation of fault diagnostic knowledge”. Completed courses in Artificial Intelligence, Information Structures, Numerical Analysis and Computer Aided Engineering Software.)
  • M.Sc. in Telecommunications and Information System, University of Essex, England. 1987 - 1988
    Received A* for outstanding M.Sc. project work at University of Essex (1988). Completed courses in Theory of Signals and Systems, Probability, Switching Systems, Real-Time Systems, Transmission Systems, Digital Transmission, Satellite and Mobile Radio systems and Performance Engineering of Computer and Communication Systems.
